I'm thinking about re-writing the musical Oklahoma, but renaming it Utah and having it be about the Church of Latter Day Saints early history.
This would include such songs as, "Oh, What a Beautiful Mormon," "Salt Lake City," and "I'm Just a Prophet Who Cain't Say No."
What do you think? How ticked off would people be?

I figured that you'd like that.
Offensive? No way! That would Rock!!
Lyrics please......
I'm epecially looking forward to hearing "Bicycle with the Missionary on Top"
"Oh, what a beautiful Mormon,
Maybe we'll go out to pray,
Then we can ask old Moroni,
If she'll be my sixth wife today."
And Red Riding Hood, I love that song title. That song can go back and forth between the old time period and the new one. It'll add continuity.
We would only be offended if you didn't make it. We love musicals; especially ones about us.
A message from the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints.
The "Ladder" Day Saints? Granted that is the way everyone pronounces it... but if I were a Morman that's what would really tick me off!
Write the musical, AC, I bet you'll make millions... and you'll get to direct your own musicals... What a deal!
